Creativity and Innovation Tools

If continuous improvement is not enough, what now?

Tools are needed to implement ideas and concepts for creativity and innovation.

Today's development activities call for more creativity and innovation than ever before. Leading organizations are in a leading position because of their ability to creatively innovate. If you doubt this, notice how often the word "agile" appears in project management and testing methods.

Continuous improvement simply is not enough.  Creativity and Innovation are what is called for.  Toyota recently announced that they wanted to build a car using only 1/2 the parts.  You can't do that via continuous improvement.

By contrast, failure to innovate may have been responsible for the recent decline of the "former" big 3 automakers (Ford, Chrysler, and GM), with over 104,000 jobs lost.

Abstract: During this second WEBinar of two parts, we will show you specific tools to implement creativity and innovation concepts.  These tools include specific ways to improve your own creativity, how to innovate, brainstorming, brain-writing, methods of systematic inquiry, alternatives to direct questions, metaphors, and problem solving.
