Creativity and Innovation Concepts
If continuous improvement is not enough, what
now?
Today's development activities call for more creativity and innovation than ever before. Leading organizations are in a leading position because of their ability to creatively innovate. If you doubt this, notice how often the word "agile" appears in project management and testing methods.
Continuous improvement simply is not enough. Creativity
and Innovation are what is called for. Toyota recently
announced that they wanted to build a car using only 1/2 the
parts. You can't do that via continuous improvement.
By contrast, failure to innovate may have been responsible for
the recent decline of the "former" big 3 automakers
(Ford, Chrysler, and GM), with over 104,000 jobs lost.
Abstract: During this first
